چکیده

Application level active networks provide a way of transforming the current network infrastructure into one where new services and protocols are more easily adopted without the need for standardization. In this paper we deal with an application layer active networking system, and address the problem of publishing and distributing software components, provided by trusted service providers, throughout the active network. We propose a distribution architecture that is based on forming a network of dedicated servers providing Content Distribution Network (CDN) functionality; this leads to smaller response times to client requests and decreased network traffic. Experimental results from a test network configuration illustrate the benefits obtained from exploiting CDN capabilities, and support the viability of our approach.

Cluster Based Cross Layer Intelligent Service Discovery for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

The ability to discover services in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a major prerequisite. Cluster basedcross layer intelligent service discovery for MANET (CBISD) is cluster based architecture, caching ofsemantic details of services and intelligent forwarding using network layer mechanisms. The cluster basedarchitecture using semantic knowledge provides scalability and accuracy. Also, the mini...

Scalable architecture for providing per-flow bandwidth guarantees

Despite numerous efforts, the problem of providing per-flow Quality of Service in a scalable manner still remains an active area of research. This paper introduces a scalable architecture for support of per-flow bandwidth guarantees, called the Bandwidth Distribution Scheme (BDS). The BDS maintains aggregate flow information in the network core and distributes this information among boundary no...

Survey the Security Function of Integration of vehicular ad hoc Networks with Software-defiend Networks

In recent years, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) have emerged as one of the most active areas in the field of technology to provide a wide range of services, including road safety, passenger's safety, amusement facilities for passengers and emergency facilities. Due to the lack of flexibility, complexity and high dynamic network topology, the development and management of current Vehicular A...

An Adaptive Congestion Alleviating Protocol for Healthcare Applications in Wireless Body Sensor Networks: Learning Automata Approach

Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) involve a convergence of biosensors, wireless communication and networks technologies. WBSN enables real-time healthcare services to users. Wireless sensors can be used to monitor patients’ physical conditions and transfer real time vital signs to the emergency center or individual doctors. Wireless networks are subject to more packet loss and congestion. T...

Composition and deployment of services in heterogeneous programmable networks

Starting out as a research tool for a small community of experts, the Internet network architecture has experienced a tremendous success. An important reason is its open communication interface, which allows anyone with basic know-how of the technology to build a wide range of applications and services at the end-systems. The Internet has become a business-critical communication infrastructure ...
